What is Supported Employment?

Supported Employment provides you with the opportunity to earn your own money, make work goals, learn new skills and make new friends. It’s just what the name suggests – employment with extra support for people with disability. Often times this is support with doing the job, learning new skills and setting goals which we can assist you to meet.

Kurrajong Catering

Kurrajong Catering caters for business, community and personal events. We also deliver lunch and coffee orders for Kurrajong Services within Wagga Wagga and sell our biscuits to local supermarkets and private customers. Kurrajong Café in Deniliquin provides catering services for the TAFE NSW, Canteen, businesses, organisations and the community. Operating out of the TAFE Canteen, Kurrajong Café provides healthy lunches and snacks for students and staff. We also sell biscuits and slices to the community on a weekly ‘biscuit run’.

Types of jobs you could do:

  • Preparing, cooking and packaging light meals and snacks for the Canteen.
  • Maintaining food and kitchen hygiene.
  • Food preparation for business, community and personal events.
  • Money handling and customer service.
  • Weekly biscuit, coffee and lunch order runs.

Kurrajong Laundry

Kurrajong Laundry provides linen hire and laundering services for motels, hotels and clubs. We also offer an ironing and laundry service for the local residents, with pick-up and delivery available. All ironing is sent to Leeton, where our staff can do up to 50 baskets on the days they are open. We have 23 commercial customers across Narrandera, Leeton and surrounding areas

Kurrajong Property Services

Kurrajong Property Services provide a variety of services for businesses, organisations and the community, including NDIS clients. These services include garden and lawn maintenance, kindling wood sales, secure document destruction and car detailing.

Types of jobs you could do:

  • Mowing Lawns
  • Garden maintenance.
  • Small-scale hard-rubbish collection.
  • Making kindling from wooden pallets.
  • Splitting wood.
  • Packaging and weighing bags.
  • Vehicle detailing.

Kurrajong Recycling

Kurrajong Recycling provide secure document destruction, mixed recycling collection and a paper and carboard collection service for Wagga Wagga
businesses and businesses within an hour of the facility. We also process household recycling from six local council areas including Griffith and Narrandera.
We manually and mechanically sort, dismantle, crush, granulate, bale, bag, store, load, weight and sell materials to be recycled into new products.

Kurrajong Timber

Kurrajong Timber is a timber processing plant based in Wagga Wagga. Our Kurrajong Timber team provide timber-processing services, supply solutions and manufactures timber products for the local and national markets. We work with the customer to produce unique custom products to suit the individual and their individual project in a timley manner.
We also offer kindling and firewood blocks to Wagga Wagga residents and surrounding areas. Our team takes this product from start to finish, from cutting the wood to packaging and weighing the bags.

Types of jobs you could do:

  • Building architraves, decking, joinery products, plus much more.
  • Cutting and packaging kindling and wood fire bucket blocks.
  • Delivery of products.
  • Painting.
  • Cutting up wood.
  • Maintaining the cleanness and safety of the workplace
